First stop: Sacramento

In our last SF days, we got some good friend time: including with Karyn & Kip, who let us stay in their cool downstairs apt before & after Hawaii; and a last Sunday brunch with Eugenia on Embarcadero, looking out over the Bay. Then we started our road trip on May 12th, with the first leg from SF to Sacramento.

We spent several days with my good, longtime friends, Jeff and Elaine. They were wonderful hosts, cooking us great meals, and allowing us to crash in their casita.

The first day was beautiful, but then a late season rain came into town. This included snow in the Sierras.
