Time at the farm

Our next stop was in Ellensberg, WA were we spent a few days visiting with Jim’s cousin, Rik and his wife Jennifer.

The Farm is over 100 acres, where they grow hay and raise cattle. Jennifer has two beautiful horses and nine highland cows, and their son has cattle, as well. We saw their barn cat and resident barn owls 🦉 (check out the pictures of the owls).

Albeit a short visit, Jim did get to help out around the farm a bit, helping Rik with some irrigation.

Our last night, we went out to a very nice dinner and then heard a band by Rik’s poker buddy at a famous old bar, The Brick, in Roslyn - best known from it’s role in the tv show Northern Exposure.
